1; Once you have finished cooking your food always leave it to stand for at least two minutes before serving or eating it. This allows your food to finish cooking properly.
2; Before you clean your microwave ovens put a bowl of water in the microwave and run your microwave for a couple of minutes. The steam created will help looosen any baked on food.
3; If you need bread crumbs for your cooking, just crumb some fresh bread and zap it in your microwave until it has dried out.
4; To get more juice from your lemons and limes put them into your microwave oven and cook them, on full power, for 20 seconds
5; Sterilise dishwashing cloths and sponges by putting them into your microwave oven and blasting them on full power for 30 seconds. Make sure they are damp.
6; Most microwave cooking times are based on the use of a 700 watt microwave oven, so make sure you check the wattage of your microwave before you cook in it and adjust your cooking times acordingly.
7; Warm plates in your microwave oven by sprinkling each one with a lille water and then zap them on full power. Do not do this if the plates have metal edges.
8;When cooking food in your microwave always allow for the fact that your food will keep cooking for a couple of minutes ater it is removed from your microwave. This will stop you ending up with dried up tough food.
9;Always use microwave safe wrap or a microwave cover when using your microwave. This will save a great deal of cleaning time.
10; Buy a microwave that suits your needs not one that has too many controls that confuse you. Remember microwaves are functional objects not just expensive decorations.
11; A magnetic temperature probe is a great way to check how hot your food is and weather it is cooking properly
12; It is not necessary to blast your food on full power. Using have power will help your food cook more evenly without burning it.
13; Do not heat breast milk in your microwave.
